STEM

STEM, an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math , is an educational concept that seems to date back to the Morrill Act of 1862.

As a gifted student, I was encouraged to pursue advanced classes in those areas since Elementary School, although I don't recall hearing the acronym until I was in my mid 50's and quite recently.

As a somewhat gifted and active small business person on and off for the past 26 years, after 7 years of corporate experience and 6 of college, I'm not overly convinced the path that I was put on was as diverse and well rounded as it should have been for my own success and those in my community.

As a commercial conspiracy minded person I can see problems with a lot of things including the written curriculum and syllabuses given to me year after year over and over again.

Looking back I can see ways in which emphasizing strengths and overlooking weaknesses instead of balancing them out may have been to my detriment, not benefit.

I can see how that may have been engineered, and reasons why now that are hard to see without hindsight.

But I can also see things as organic, and just a result of generations moving forward, with self-selected elders wanting to be liked by students who need more than they can provide.

It's easy to second guess things. We all can do it. But what we decide to do or not after we take those guesses might be more important than most realize, or maybe it's not.

For me, what I do next does feel more important now than it did before, as clarity has come recently on a few things that were buried in confusion for far too long -- and for that reason -- I'm going to start developing STEM curriculum for a global audience of aspiring adolescents with the goal of encouraging a very talented group of young people to reshape the Western World. Bottom to Top. Top to Bottom. Inside and Out.

I have no children of my own. That was by choice and out of concern for what I discovered as I entered into our "working world". Many will say I "missed out". To them i can only say, "I watched", because it seems it was my turn do so, along with a few others.

That said, I'll be dipped if I'm going to age out with a bunch of frauds, perverts, tramps, and thieves caring for me as are fleecing our Elders now.

There's more than one kind of Gypsy that can play this game. And so, the game to reform the West is now on, and it's Winner takes all. No truces. No settlements. Start placing bets.
